I'm still alive...

...and practicing magic. I am just down with the flu.

I have done some money spells, that seem to be working, as well as a spell for a family member. I am really into elemental magic.

I am not so much into dieties, for the time being at least.

My studies are on hold, like I said, I am sick and so are three of my kids.

A Book Meme

1) One book that changed your life:
Jacob have I loved
I hated the ending of this book. I hated that Louise settled. It made me want to write, so that I could make others feel that kind of pain, too. Its been over 15 years andI am not the same person. I think I should read it again.

2) One book that you'd read more than once:
Harry Potter
Chronicles of Narnia

All books by Anne McCaffrey

3) One book you'd want on a deserted island:
How to survive on a deserted island
LOST manuscripts

4) One book that made you laugh:
Rotten School by RL Stein

5) One book that made you cry:
Jacob have I loved

6) One book you wish you'd written:
dont know

7) One book you wish had never been written:
Death of a Salesman- so highschoolers can have something good to read.
Snowbound- so I wouldn't have had to watch the movie.

8) One book you're currently reading:
Celtic Magic

9) One book you've been meaning to read:
Memoirs of a Geisha- I need to finish this.

I have been busy

I am back on my meds for postpartum depression, finally. I couldn't find them! Odd, too, because they were right where they should be! I just didn't see them.

I took my daughter and her friend to a craft fair (at a united methodist church) and I found some amazing items:

  • Grannascents makes hand poured candles- and they smell like everything! Leather really smelled like leather! She also has nag champa and patchouli- incense makes my head ache but smelly candles don't. She takes requests, and is going to have a yule candle at the fair next month. I bought jasmine, gingerbread and spiced pumpkin at 3 for $15. I can''t list all the scents here she had so many!
  • How about crocheted "dresses" for 3 inch pillar candles or wine glasses? They are stunning, with beads. I bought lavender and multi. $3 each.
  • A mossy shawl. I swear, it looks like green moss! Its soft and drapey, hand made and I love it. $30.
  • Farrell Sisters Soaps & Sundries. Bath fizzies, salts and soaps- hand made and all natural, cute shapes- frogs, stars, angel head with wings. I bought some fizzies for my friends and family. The scents, almond, pear berry, etc, are wonderful! Around $1. I have their contact info, also.
  • Meme's Perky Pickles, "Pickles With a Bite!" Habanero bread and butter pickles! Sweet and spicey- very good. Also had jalapeno down to mild. Yummy. $4.
That's all for now folks!

My favorite season of the year

I have finished days 4 and 5, and am going to post about them soon. I am also reading a book called Celtic Magic, and it seems very interesting. My mundane life is very active at the moment, so I do what I can when I can. I carry the small book in my purse, and read while waiting in line, etc!

Don't forget Pagan Pride Day is tomorrow... I will be getting my ribbon later this morning!

I made pumpkin rolls last night- or I watched my mother-in-law make them. They are so yummy. I love Autumn, and getting into the season feels great! What better way to start them by making some delicious pumpkin rolls?

Ever since I was a young girl, Halloween has been my favorite holiday! When I was 4 years old, 1980 I believe, I was hospitalized on Halloween for appendicitis and had it removed. I was Peter Pan that year. I was more upset because my trick or treating was cut short because I didn't feel well than by having surgery, getting a huge scar, and being hospitalized!

Wear a Purple Ribbon

"Pagan Awareness Day
All practitioners of Earth religions, Wicca, Shamanism, Druidry etc,
are being encouraged to wear a purple ribbon as a way of promoting
religious tolerance and to potentially raise awareness: On Sept.
21st to 22nd all Witches are going to wear little purple ribbons so
everyone will know Who Else is a witch/wiccan/ pagan/... . But no
one can do this if they don't know about it, so pass the word along!
This message goes to all Witches, Wiccans, Pagans from all sorts of
traditions. We can make a day for ourselves!! Actually, two days!!!
You can buy a purple ribbon anywhere, Dollar store, Wal-Mart,
shoppers Drug Mart, anywhere...Wear it in your Hair, or pin it up to

New Look and My First Renter!

I know, I am pretty crazy. I just can't help but fart around! I will probably keep changing my look for a while, so deal with it work with me. ;p

While you are here, please stop by my renter, Jane loves Tarzan, and leave a comment. Because really, what good does visiting do if you don't say hi? Please visit, today especially, since she is taking part in the 2,996 project.

...and she is very funny!

I am from Pluto

You Are From Pluto

You are a dark, mysterious soul, full of magic and the secrets of the universe.
You can get the scoop on anything, but you keep your own secrets locked in your heart.
You love change and you use it to your advantage, whether by choice or chance.
You don't like to compromise, to the point of being self-destructive with your stubborness.
Live life with love, and your deep powers will open the world to you.
What Planet Are You From?

This is me for sure!!!
